Chasing Chickens and Beyond…

The Sunshine State provided me more than just a “leopard tan” (see previous blog for definition of “leopard tan”). I was in Wine Country, so I paid a visit to a winery and did a little taste testing. They had a cute little shop, lots of wines to taste and a beautiful property to explore…

I don’t know what “normal” people do when they travel all by themselves, but I became VERY intrigued by the chicken. They had a chicken that I made it my mission to take pictures of. Why? I don’t know what it was, but once I made my decision that I wanted a picture of the chicken, nothing could stop me…not even his sneaky little escape routes, his cat-like reflexes, or his fearful squawking. I chased that chicken like the paparazzi chases Brittany Spears. I was brought back to reality as I sprinted around the corner of the barn and almost ran into a teenage boy on his cellphone, realizing my foolery.

What had come over me? I sullenly walked away from the flapping chicken with only a mere 8 shots of my feathered friend realizing this “chicken chasing” was an addiction that must be handled immediately. Step 1: Admit you are powerless over your addiction. I don’t know how long this will take me to overcome, but I will not give up until my recovery is complete…
